Singing has always been about connecting to a deeper place in myself; exploring the limits and possibilities of sound. My background in voice is diverse.  I received my BFA from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, specializing in jazz and improvisation, and then went on to receive my MM in Vocal Performance at Longy School of Music of Bard, specializing in classical voice and opera. Before I studied in New York, I sang the devotional vocal music of North India which gave me a unique understanding of the beauty and emotion inherent in scales and melodies. I am a Somatic Voicework™, The LoVetri Method certified teacher. I will always continue to learn and grow as a singer and a teacher.
