When love first tasted the lips of being human, it started singing
— Rumi

WHY SING?

Singing is as natural as breathing, as natural as the trees and wind.

So many of us have been conditioned out of this naturalness. But when we allow ourselves to get curious and explore our voice, fully, we may discover and uncover unseen parts of ourselves; and the gifts that come with deeper expression of our voice. We may find we can make sounds we never dreamed possible! And with that we can connect more deeply with our body, our prayers, dreams and desires. Singing is a direct channel to our emotions; both the places that feel free and the places that may be hidden away. And allows us to embrace our capacity of joy and ecstasy as well as our longings and heartaches. When we sing, from our authenticity, we are IN the present moment, in all our honesty and vulnerability.

It is my pleasure to share this path with you and an honor to guide and witness your vocal journey. I have been walking it for over 30 years and I continue learn and discover depths and heights through my voice. If you choose to work with me, not only will you begin uncovering more freedom in your expression, you will anchor more deeply into what it means to be human, in your beautifully unique way.

So You Don’t Think You Can Sing in Tune and Think It’s Permanent?

It’s not! I have guided numerous students of all ages from difficulty singing in key/matching pitches, to clear beautiful tones on pitch, singing songs they never thought they’d ever be able to sing...so I know it’s not permanent! This is one of my favorite journeys to be on with a singer. Together we take our time and slowly bring your ears, brain, and throat (and heart!) into a harmonious communication with each other by creating new neural pathways.
